Key information about CervicalCheck for reception staff in primary care
In March and April 2009, the Smeartaker Training Unit (STU) facilitated a round of information sessions for non-medical staff based in primary care. The uptake for the sessions was very high, with over 150 practice staff in attendance.
The aim of the information sessions is to provide an overview of the CervicalCheck Programme to reception, secretarial and administrative staff in primary care, who play an important support role in the cervical screening process.
The information session covers the following topics:
- An overview of how the CervicalCheck Programme operates
- An outline of the role of the practice/administration staff in relation to CervicalCheck
A PowerPoint presentation outlining how the CervicalCheck Programme operates has been developed by the Smeartaker Training Unit (STU) to assist non - medical staff based in a primary care setting. Please click here to view the presentation slides.
Further information sessions will be organised later in the year.
